Vowles Farriery is a professional and dependable business, specialising in equine hoof care. The business operates from Quainton, Bucks and covers the surrounding areas within Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire. Vowles Farriery can be relied upon to offer a prompt and friendly service that does not compromise on good quality workmanship.

The business was established in January 2019 by Hugh Vowles DIP.WCF after completing a four year apprenticeship with a local farrier and passing the diploma of the worshipful company of farriers. The apprenticeship entailed careful tuition of ancient skills as well as more modern approaches to the craft.

Hugh’s passion for the job and eagerness to learn is demonstrated by continuing to further develop his skills and extent his knowledge base by attending seminars and clinics around the country. Hugh also enrolled in an additional course, run by the University of Central Lancashire and held at Myerscough College, Preston in September 2019. On completion of this course, Hugh will be awarded with a Bachelor of Science degree in Farriery related Science. This enables Vowles Farriery to remain at the forefront of advanced farriery techniques.
